Evoking the Divine Goddess

This Mother's Day I have been thinking about how woman are goddesses.

We must embrace that we have the capacity, the gift to create. We can create another being, nourish a household and spread love-compassion where ever we choose. Our emotions run like wild like storms passing but our passion and fervent desires remain. We must embrace this ability and gift as creators.

"The wisest of women builds up her home, but a foolish one tears it down with her own hands." Proverbs 14:1

Here are some ways to embrace your divine spirit:

Take time to spend time with nature and be inspired by Mother Nature.
Be inspired by nature! Go on long walks barefoot or go on hikes. Look to see the natural order of things. How each species of animal and plant have their own set of rules. Just because the frog and fish choose to swim doesn't mean that the birds have to. We all have our purpose, our divine gift. Storms come and pass. A forest fire erupts but lays path to nourish the new growth. It does not struggle but thrives in just being. Find yourself in nature.

Respect and Protect Mother Earth
We are a mirror of the creator. Made in the likeness of the creator. In nature we find a perfect reflection of ourselves. We must protect her! Shut off water in between brushing teeth or washing dishes. Turn off the air conditioning, open your windows! Use candle light on occasion at night to enhance some down time. Recycle-Reuse. By local. Eat less meat. Compost. Collect rain water. Plant a seed. Share a smile. Grow your own food. Learn bout your food. Get involved in your community. Enhance and share your legacy by ensuring that the earth your ultimate home and reflection is clean!

Listen to your intuition.
Be like the waves of the ocean, so easily swayed by the moon’s gravitation.Your heart knows best our heart whispers to us what we should do. It is pride that steps in her path. Let go and let God. The more that you surrender and listen to the divine creator, the more the divine plan will be bestowed in your life. It is that simple, just ride the wave of what makes you happy. What brings you joy!

Embrace your emotion and vulnerability.
Part of being a woman is flowing with movements of life. Like the moon pulling the waves of the ocean, we influence the one around us. Understand that it is okay to feel it, keep in mind  that it will pass.We change, grow and teach others how to react through these emotions. Instead of running away from emotion feel it, embrace it, and then let it pass like a storm- energizing atoms, nourishing our soul; causing it to grow-blossom- evolve. Remember you have control over your thoughts. You do not have control over a situation but you do have control over your perception of it. Remember we show others how to react by the emotional choices we make. Part of being a woman is being vulnerable but ever changing and improving her design to be better than the last!

Be the example.
We are the example of how others treat us. Don't just treat others how you would want to be treated but treat yourself the way you want to be treated! Become and emulate the traits that you admire in other. Nourish your soul with respect, integrity-the, "I know I can do anything I put my mind to" attitude. The, "I know it all start with me giving" attitude, even if it is you giving some time to yourself. Find a moral system that works for you, to become the best person you can be! For me they are the Yamas and Niyamas but the truth is in your heart. Be the best you can be because that is what makes your spirit shine and aligns us with our divine purpose and inner goddess.
