Holy Basil shown to Remove Fluoride from water!

Plant medicine prevails again to detoxify the moderns world most prominent toxin.

Researchers from Rajasthan University in India have discovered that the Tulasi plant, also known as Holy Basil, can be used to significantly reduce the amount of fluoride in drinking water. An experiment was conducted in the Yellareddyguda village of Narketpally Mandal.

The researchers soaked 75mg’s of Tulasi leaves in 100ml of water that contained 7.4 parts per million of fluoride in the water. After only soaking the Tulasi leaves for eight hours, it was discovered that the level of fluoride in the water was reduced from 7.4 parts per million, to only 1.1 parts per million.

Since 1962, the U.S. had specified the optimal level of fluoride to range from 0.7 to 1.2 mg/L (milligrams per liter, equivalent to parts per million), depending on the average maximum daily air temperature; the optimal level is lower in warmer climates, where people drink more water, and is higher in cooler climates.[1] This standard, adopted in 1962, is not appropriate for all parts of the world and is based on assumptions that have become obsolete with the rise of air conditioning and increased use of soft drinksprocessed food, and other sources of fluorides. In 1994 a World Health Organization expert committee on fluoride use stated that 1.0 mg/L should be an absolute upper bound, even in cold climates, and that 0.5 mg/L may be an appropriate lower limit.[2]

Fluoride Calcified Pineal Gland

If you would look on the back of any toothpaste bottle you would find that if you ingest toothpaste with sodium fluoride in it that you must contact poison control. Your average toothpaste contain around .24 percent sodium fluoride. How does this make sense that the National safety averages is 1.0 mg in main water supply? An overdose of fluoride can cause severe nervous system damage including slowed or irregular heart rate, tremors and shallow breathing! Not to mention the research found that a slow exposure to fluoride causes the calcification of the pineal gland! The pineal gland  is responsible for sound sleep, balanced hormones, which controls everything from balance between sleep and to waking concentration levels.

By infusing holy basil into your water, eating more organic whole foods and switching to fluoride free toothpaste we  have an inexpensive and widely available way to preserve your and your family's health!

  1. This is so disturbing, all the fluoride everywhere. It's great to be able to use Fl-free toothpaste etc but it's hard to maintain a Fl-free lifestyle. So many restaurants etc don't provide filtered water, for example. Most people don't take the Fl thing seriously, which is frustrating too.

    1. So true anonymous. I take along my own drink that is fluoride free (water). I have a filter that takes out fluoride on my kitchen faucet [(not Brita) or Pur which adds fluoride in their filter, but, a better one) and when asked if I want something to drink I ask them if they have a water filtration system. If they answer no, I say no, I brought my own. Often this brings to point the fluoride and I educate them and a lot of people listen and switch toothpastes and bottled water as not all bottled water is fluoride free. I actually called all the water bottling companies from the grocers while turning the bottle around and getting the phone number from the back. I asked them if their water came from a fluoridated source. I found out that almost all of them do. I found one local bottler for Georgia that was fluoride free, and that one is Crystal Springs from www.water.com.

  2. It just amazes me that there are proponents to putting Fluoride in our water. Even if we were to say that it does prevent tooth decay, the bottom line is that it shouldn't be put in the water supply. Sell it in stores for people to purchase if they so CHOOSE! Since Fluoride is so great....why stop there? Why not put statins in the water supply to reduce chloesterol, or antidepressants in the water to diminish the possibility of suicide, or why don't we throw in low levels of weed to make us all a bit more relaxed?? lol In the end, Fluoride does not prevent what brushing and caring for your teeth will provide. Because of this nonsense, and because our water supplies are in such great dangers. I've decided the best thing I can do for me and my son is to get a great filter that filters out the widest range of chemicals, efficiently and cost-effectively.

I've done alot of research on this and I could only find one company's results that I could verify. It's been really hard to find companies that are truly reputable when it comes to their fluoride removal claims. A lot of companies claim NSF accreditation, but one must be very careful about that and know exactly what the certification is for. Most of the time it does not measure how well the filter removes contaminants.

Just thought I would pass on my findings as I have been researching for myself to ensure we get a quality filter that does what it claims from a reputable company. There is a small company out of New York that I found that has a filtration system (I'm referring to their under the counter 'ultra' version...though they have several other configurations) that removes fluoride, prescription drugs, and even radiation via Zeolite. It even raises the alkalinity of the water. They have an independent test done by a nationwide lab analysis company and I also contacted the lab personally to ensure that this company was reputable and that the lab results were not fabricated......anyhow it all checked out. Anyhow, check out the website as it has lots of interesting articles and info, and contact them if you have questions as I did. I think they have an excellent filter ...good luck. Here is the link, and if you notice their customer reviews are all top notch, the best that I can find..................... http://www.pureeffectfilters.com/#a_aid=Ultrawater

  3. A leaf of the Holy Basil, also known as Tulasi, is included by Hare Krishna devotees and many Hindus in their daily food offerings to Krishna. Tulasi is revered as the goddess of all plants and trees, beads from her branches and twigs are used as chanting rosaries and she is known to purify all that is ingested and all that is spoken when worn in the traditional form of necklaces, usually 3 strands, seen around the necks of all Hare Krishna devotees.
